Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with chairmen of all education boards handed over the copies of HSC results to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday morning.
The pass rate of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations is 69.60 percent. Later, the minister declared the results at a press conference at 10:00am.
A total of 7,38,872 students have been passed this year while 42,898 students get GPA 5. A total of 10,61,614 students appeared for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) tests this year under 10 education boards, the education minister said at Gono Bhabhan after 10:00am. Of the students, 5, 70, 993 are boys and 5,02,891 are girls. This year's HSC and equivalent exams were held between April 1 and June 22. The pass rate of this year is lower than that of previous year as last year it was 78.33 pc.
Students will get results from their centres, education board websites and cellphones through SMS shortly after a press conference at 1:00pm. Results will be also available on www.educationboard.gov.bd and in respective campus at 1:00pm. The simplest procedure of getting HSC result through sms is as follow-
Go to your Mobile text option and type HSC then 1st three letters of your board name then your roll no then type 2015 and finally send it to 16222.
For madrasah students, they will have to type AlimMad then roll no2015 and then send it to 16222.
For vocational students, type HSCTec your roll no2015 and send to 16222.
